Read these instructions and check to be sure all parts and tools are accounted for. Please retain these installation instructions for future reference and parts ordering information.

3 Disclaimer Accessory Weight

When adding accessories, equipment, passengers and luggage to your vehicle, do not exceed the total weight capacity of the vehicle or of the front or rear axle (GVWR or GAWR as indicated on the Safety Compliance Certification label). 6 Important

Your is exclusively designed for your vehicle. Please read the installation instructions thoroughly before beginning. Installation is easier if the vehicle is clean and free of debris. For your safety, and to ensure a satisfactory installation, perform all installation steps correctly in the sequence shown.

7 Installation Instructions

7.1 Vehicle Preparation

7.1.1 General

  1. Shift vehicle transmission to NEUTRAL.

  2. Press start/stop button to turn vehicle OFF.

  3. Apply parking brake.

  4. Remove key fob from proximity of vehicle.

7.1.2 Open Hood

WARNING

Do not grab plastic directly above the hood release lever to open the hood. This may damage the hood.

  1. Make sure parking brake is applied.

  2. Pull hood release lever upward to disengage four hood latches.

  3. Pull upwards on hood underside, above LED lamp, using two hands.

  4. Pull hood upward and forward, rotating hood to a vertical position.

7.1.3 Remove Mirrors

  1. Remove and keep two mirror mounting screws.

  2. Remove and carefully set aside mirror assembly.

7.1.4 Remove Windshield

NOTICE
Windshields vary in size and shape but all mount to the same mounting points.
  1. Remove and keep three fasteners A from base of windshield B.

  2. If equipped, remove and keep screw, washer and O-ring from center windshield mount.

  3. Remove windshield and carefully set aside.

7.1.5 Remove Upper Dash

Remove Upper Dash Painted Panels (If Equipped)
  1. Remove and keep upper dash painted panels by lifting from front edges to release clips.

Remove Side Trim Panels

  1. Remove and keep two screws A and two push-pin rivets B from side trim panel C.

  2. Remove side trim panel C and carefully set aside.

Remove Upper Dash Panel
  1. Remove and keep eight screws A from upper dash panel.

  2. If equipped, disconnect dash tweeter speakers from main vehicle harness.

  3. Lift front edge of upper dash panel to release clips. Lift off upper dash panel and carefully set aside.

7.2 Accessory Installation

  1. Install Cell Modem Module 1 onto center bracket. Make sure module lip is under mounting tab as shown. Install one new screw 2 and torque to specification.

    TORQUE

    Cell Modem Module Screw 2:

    15 in-lbs (1.7 N·m)

  2. Plug cell modem module connector A and vehicle harness connector B into cell modem module 1

7.3 Vehicle Reassembly

Install Upper Dash Panel
  1. If equipped, connect dash tweeter speakers to main vehicle harness.

  2. Set upper dash panel in place and loosely install eight retained screws A and B.

  3. Torque eight screws to specification.

    NOTICE
    Inner and outer fasteners have different torque specifications.
    TORQUE

    Inner Upper Dash Panel Screws A:

    62 in-lbs (7 N·m)

    TORQUE

    Outer Upper Dash Panel Screws B:

    36 in-lbs (4 N·m)

Install Side Trim Panels
  1. Set side trim panel C in place and loosely install two retained screws A and install two retained push pin rivets B.

    NOTICE
    Left side shown; right side similar.
  2. Torque two screws to specification.

    TORQUE

    Side Trim Panel Screws A:

    10 in-lbs (1 N·m)

Install Upper Dash Painted Panels
  1. Put small end of panels under dash and rotate to press clips into place.

7.3.1 Install Windshield

  1. Set windshield B in place and attach with retained fasteners A.

  2. Torque fasteners to specification (if applicable).

    TORQUE

    Windshield Threaded Fastener:

    13 in-lbs (1.4 N·m)

  3. If equipped, install screw, washer and O-ring into center windshield mount. Torque screw to specification.

    TORQUE

    Windshield Center Mount Screw:

    13 in-lbs (1.4 N·m)

7.3.2 Install Mirrors

  1. Set mirror in place and attach with two mirror mounting screws.

    NOTICE
    One side shown; other side similar.
  2. Torque mounting screws to specification.

    TORQUE

    Mirror Mount Screws:

    35 ft-lbs (47 N·m)

7.4 Digital Wrench® Setup

Update Navigation Maps

  1. Navigate to https://ridecommand.slingshot.polaris.com/en-us/ridecommand , or click link if viewing on a PC and follow on screen instructions to complete map update.

Prerequisites

  1. Vehicle battery is connected to a battery maintainer/charger.

  2. Make sure there is a reliable internet connection.

  3. Make sure latest version of Digital Wrench® is installed.

    1. Log into Polaris Dealers Website.

    2. Select Service and Warranty menu.

    3. Select Digital Wrench® Updates.

Perform Digital Wrench Cell Modem Activation

NOTICE
You must be in an area where cell reception is available.
  1. Connect Digital Wrench® ll and power on vehicle.

  2. Enter vehicle information as required.

  3. Select Procedures menu item.

  4. Select Modem Service Procedures menu item.

  5. Select Install New Modem option.

  6. Follow Digital Wrench® screen prompts until Modem Activation Completed Successful is displayed.

Verify Installation

NOTICE
You must be in an area where cell reception is available.
  1. Once map update and activation are complete, verify installation by navigating to the Navigation screen in Ride Command® and confirming that map data is visible.

  2. Verify cell modem functionality by turning on traffic and/or weather overlays and confirm data is shown on map.
