Upper Door Cover Installation

NOTICE
Assemble upper door cover and frames on a soft surface as to not damage or put additional stress on the fabric during installation.
Rear Door Frame
  1. Unzip rear of upper door cover.

  2. Put rear door frame inside cover and zip cover.

  3. Make sure frame fits tight within cover.

Front Door Frame
  1. Unzip front of upper door cover.

  2. Put door mounts through door cover holes first.

  3. Put front of door frame inside door cover.

  4. Pull cover over rest of door frame and over top corner.

    TIP
    Fitment will be tight and may require an assistant.
  5. Zip cover with frame installed.

Door Frame Assembly
  1. Attach hook-and-loop straps, attached to cover, around both door frames.

  2. Put hinge 9 around both door frames and close hinge until it snaps into place.

    TIP
    Hinge should align with rivets on door frame tube.
  3. Put two screws 17 through each hinge and install with two nuts 18. Torque fasteners to specification.

    TIP
    Use a slotted screwdriver to guide the nut while tightening the fastener.
    TORQUE

    Hinge Fasteners 17:

    92 in-lbs (10 N·m)

Upper Door Installation

  1. Align door frame assembly with vehicle.

  2. Loosely install rear door frame to roll-cage with clamp spacers 10 and clamps 12.

    Do not torque clamp fasteners at this time.
  3. Align front upper door mounts with holes in door frame.

  4. Install upper door to door frame with two fasteners 14 and two washers 13 for each nut-plate 15 (wide spacing) or 16 (narrow spacing).

    NOTICE
    Upper Door Kit, P/N 2884733 uses two nut-plates 16 (narrow spacing).

Roll-Cage Cover

  1. Remove and keep one fastener from dashboard.

  2. Put roll-cage cover 7 over A-pillar joint. Put front of cover between joint and fender. Torque fender fastener to specification.

    TIP
    Pull fender outwards to put cover between joint and fender.
    TORQUE

    Dashboard Fastener:

    8 ft-lbs (11 N·m)

Fitment Troubleshooting

  1. Open and close door to check for interference. Upper door hinges should operate smoothly with lower door frame hinges.

  2. Torque clamp fasteners 12 to specification.

    TORQUE

    Clamp Fasteners 12:

    25 in-lbs (3 N·m)

  3. Small adjustments can be made to improve upper door sealing against roll-cage. Adjust as needed. Tighten upper door fasteners to specification.

    TORQUE

    Upper Door Fasteners 14:

    18 ft-lbs (25 N·m)
