Front Brake Lever

  1. Lubricate the pivot pin 1 and brake lever hinge points at the intervals recommended in the Periodic Maintenance Table. Also lubricate any time binding is evident. Use all-purpose grease.

  2. Install the pivot pin 1. Torque the pivot pin to specifications.

    TORQUE
    Pivot Pin: 9 in-lbs (1 N·m)

  3. Install the pivot pin nut 2 onto the pivot pin 1. Torque the pivot pin nut to specifications.

    TORQUE
    Pivot Pin Nut: 52 in-lbs (6 N·m)

  4. Inspect brake pads as outlined on Brake Pads.
