Battery Removal

  1. Unlock the front rack latches and open the front rack.

  2. Unlock the latches located inside of the front storage compartment to remove the storage compartment from the vehicle.

  3. Remove the two screws securing the front cover (below the headlight pod) to the vehicle.

  4. Remove the battery hold-down strap fasteners.

  5. Disconnect the negative (black) cable first. Then disconnect the positive (red) cable.

  6. Carefully lift the battery out of the battery support bracket.

  7. Charge the battery.
