Air Filter
Always change the air filter at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart.

Remove the rear close-off panel located behind the seat.

Clean all dirt and debris from the air box area.

Unlatch the air box cover clips 1 and carefully remove the air box cover.

Inspect the air filter 2 and air box for dirt, debris or water.

To remove the filter, slide the filter to the left, as you are looking to the rear of the vehicle.

With the filter removed, clean the intake tube and air box thoroughly. Wipe well with a clean, dry cloth.
NOTICEDirt or debris in the intake tube could result in severe engine damage. Always clean all dirt and debris from the intake tube before installing the filter. -
Reinstall the air filter (if clean) or install a new air filter (if soiled). Do not attempt to clean the air filter.
NOTICEUse of a non-POLARIS-approved air filter may cause engine damage. Always use a POLARIS-approved replacement filter. Replacement filters are available at your POLARIS dealer. -
Make sure that there are no gaps between the filter, the filter ring and the stop on the intake tube.

Reinstall the air box cover and ensure the hinge is properly aligned.

Secure the cover clips.

Reinstall the access panel.
