Battery Removal

To remove the battery, do the following:

  1. Remove chin fairing by removing its fasteners 1.

  2. Remove battery bracket by removing its fastener 2 and sliding the bracket out of its retention feature.

  3. Disconnect negative (-) battery terminal.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to cross battery terminals.

  4. Disconnect positive (+) battery terminal.

  5. Remove battery from battery box.
