Drive Belt Removal

EBS MODELS

  1. Put the transmission in PARK (P) and lock the parking brake.

  2. Remove the outer PVT cover screws 1 and remove the cover.

  3. Mark the drive belt direction of rotation so that it can be installed in the same direction.

  4. Insert the Belt Removal Tool 2 included in the vehicle’s tool kit into the threaded hole on the driven clutch as shown and turn clockwise to spread the clutch.

  5. Walk the belt out of the driven clutch and drive clutch.

  6. Remove the belt from the vehicle.

NON-EBS MODELS

  1. Put the transmission in PARK (P) and lock the parking brake.

  2. Remove the outer PVT cover screws 1 and remove the cover.

  3. Mark the drive belt direction of rotation so that it can be installed in the same direction.

  4. Squeeze the belt in the center to spread the driven clutch sheaves. Carefully walk the belt off the driven clutch and remove from the drive clutch.
