Fluid Check

The fill plug 1 is located on the rear of the gearcase. Maintain the fluid level so that it is even with the bottom thread of the fill plug hole.

1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.

2. Remove the fill plug with 8mm Allen wrench.

3. Check the fluid level. The fluid should be even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.

4. If necessary, add the recommended fluid (listed in the Gearcase Specification Chart section). Do not overfill.

5. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to specification.

   TORQUE

   Fill Plug Torque:

   10–14 ft-lbs (14–19 Nm)

6. Clean any fluid residue from around the fill plug.
