Drive Belt Removal

  1. Position the vehicle on a level surface and place the transmission in PARK.

  2. Elevate and safely support the rear of the vehicle.

  3. Remove the seat.

  4. Remove the side panel. See the Side Panel Removal section.

  5. Remove the push rivet on the PVT access panel and unlatch the two latches to remove.

  1. Remove the footwell. See the Footwell Removal section.

  2. Remove the PVT outlet duct.

  1. Loosen the PVT inlet duct clamps.

  1. Remove the (8) fasteners securing the outer PVT cover to the inner PVT cover.

  1. Using care, pull the outer PVT cover out the side of the vehicle.

  2. Note the orientation of the drive belt so that it can be installed in the same direction.

  1. Squeeze the belt in the center to spread the driven clutch sheaves.

  1. Carefully walk the belt off the driven clutch and remove from the drive clutch.
