Battery Removal

  1. Unlock the front rack latches and open the front rack.

  2. Remove the front storage compartment by rotating the two quarter-turn fasteners and lifting the compartment out of the vehicle.

  3. Remove the Tuflock fastener and two screws securing the front cover to the vehicle.

  4. Remove the battery hold-down strap fasteners.

  5. Disconnect the negative (black) cable first. Then disconnect the positive (red) cable.

  6. Carefully lift the battery out of the battery support bracket.

  7. Charge the battery.
