Position the vehicle on a level surface outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

Sit in the driver's seat and fasten the seat belt. Always make sure all cab doors are closed and latched when riding in this vehicle.
-
Place the transmission in PARK or NEUTRAL.
-
Disengage the park brake.
-
Apply the brakes. Do not press the throttle pedal while starting the engine.
-
Turn the ignition key to the START position. Engage the starter for a maximum of five seconds. Release the key when the engine starts. Turn the key to either LIGHTS ON or POSITION LIGHTS ON.
If the engine does not start within five seconds, return the ignition switch to the OFF position and wait five seconds. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until the engine starts.
-
Vary the engine RPM slightly with the throttle to aid in warm up until the engine idles smoothly.
Operating the vehicle immediately after starting could cause engine damage. Allow the engine to warm up for several minutes before operating the vehicle.
