Hand Brake

The master cylinder 1 is located on the left handlebar. Maintain the fluid level 6 mm below the top edge of the master cylinder. Do not overfill.

  1. Position the vehicle on a level surface. Make sure the handlebars are straight.

  2. View the fluid level through the indicator window (eye) 2 on the top of the master cylinder.

    TIP

    The eye will appear dark when the fluid level is full 3. When fluid is low 4, the eye will be clear.

  3. If the fluid level is low, remove the cover screws and add fluid to the fill line. Do not overfill.

  4. Reinstall the cover. Torque screws to 0.8 Nm (7 in-lbs).
