Seat Closeoff Removal / Installation

  1. Remove the seats. See Seat Removal / Installation.

  2. Remove each fastener 1 that secure seat belt shoulder assemblies to the cab frame.

  3. Remove the five body fasteners 2 and three push rivets 3 on each side of the vehicle that retain the front portion of the rocker panel.

    NOTICE

    Right side shown.

  4. Remove the thirteen push rivets 4 retaining the seat closeoff.

  5. Carefully flex the rocker panel outward and remove the push rivet 5 from each side of the vehicle that retain the front of the seat closeoff to the frame.

  6. Clean the area around the fuel cap and remove the fuel cap 6

  7. Carefully remove the seat closeoff from the vehicle.

  8. Reinstall the fuel cap.

  9. Reverse the removal procedure to install the seat closeoff. Torque fasteners to specification.

    TORQUE

    Body Component Fasteners:

    Until Fully Seated

    Seat Belt Fastener:

    30 ft-lbs (41 Nm)

  10. Install the seats. See Seat Removal / Installation.
