Parking the Vehicle

  1. Stop the vehicle on a level surface. When parking inside a garage or other structure, be sure that the structure is well ventilated and that the vehicle is not close to any source of flame or sparks, including any appliance with pilot lights.

  2. Place the transmission in PARK (P).

  3. Stop the engine.

  4. Lock the temporary brake lock.

    IMPORTANT

    Only use the temporary brake lock for short period of time such as: loading, unloading, or transporting the vehicle. The temporary brake lock is not intended for long term storage. Put transmission in “PARK” on level ground.

  5. Remove the ignition key to prevent unauthorized use.
