Drive Chain Slack Inspection

  1. Move the vehicle slightly forward to gain chain deflection.

  2. Collapse rear suspension by applying downward force to rear bumper. This will position the rear axle and drive chain in the tightest configuration.

  3. If the slack needs adjustment, see Drive Chain Slack Adjustment.

Drive Chain Tension:

1/4”-1/2” (6-12 mm) Deflection
