Indicator Lamps

Lamp Indicates Condition
Vehicle Speed When standard mode is selected, speed displays in miles per hour.
When metric mode is selected, speed displays in kilometers per hour.
Over Temperature
(Coolant)
This lamp illuminates when the engine has reached 232° F (111° C). If the indicator begins to flash, the engine has reached 236° F (113° C); the system will automatically reduce engine power. When the engine reaches 246° F (118° C), the engine will automatically shut off.
Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Warning
(if equipped)
This lamp illuminates to indicate that the EPS has powered down. This occurs when the engine is OFF but the key is left in the ON position for at least 5 minutes. Cycle the key off and back on to restore function and turn off lamp.
Neutral This lamp illuminates when the transmission is in neutral and the ignition key is in the ON position.
High Beam
(if equipped)
This lamp illuminates when the head lamp switch is set to high beam.
Helmet/Seat Belt This lamp illuminates to alert operator to check all riders’ seat belts are securely fastened before operating. The driver’s seat belt is equipped with a seat belt interlock. Vehicle speed will be limited to 15 MPH (24 km/h) if the seat belt is not secured. ALWAYS check to ensure all riders are wearing proper safety gear.
Check Engine This indicator appears if an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) related fault occurs. DO NOT operate the vehicle if this warning appears or serious engine damage could result. Your dealer can assist.
