Shock Compression Clicker Adjustments
To quickly adjust the suspension based on conditions, terrain and riding style, follow guidelines below. All riders are different, the below is just a starting suggestion. Try multiple settings to see what best fits your riding style.
Front track shock clicker. Most of the vehicle and rider weight is carried by the front shock. Generally this shock controls the ride quality of the bike.
-
Setting 1: For a soft, plush ride over small chatter bumps, soft turn the clicker all the way to the left (counter clockwise).
-
Setting 2: For general riding over medium terrain or for riders over 200 lbs. on easy terrain, adjust click straight up and down.
-
Setting 3: For big bump control or extreme riding, turn all the way to the right (clockwise).
Rear track shock clicker. The rear shock clicker will generally control the responsiveness of ski lift. First, adjust spring preload for rider preference (see the section above). Shock clicker is for quick adjustments throughout the day or based on terrain feature encountered during the ride.
The rear shock is equipped with a lockout feature for shock clicker setting 3. This is an extremely harsh setting and is intended to limit shock travel as much as possible without causing damage to the shock internal components.
-
Setting 1: To have a very reactive front end that will allow the ski to pop-up in the air on command, turn the shock clicker softly all the way to the left.
-
Setting 2: For general riding where playfulness is desired with some slower reaction on the ski lift, set the shock clicker to the middle.
-
Setting 3: Use this setting when in deep powder snow, when extra control is needed to keep the ski in contact with snow and to keep the ski down while climbing. Set the shock clicker all the way to the right (lockout). This will allow the track and suspension to get on top of the snow rather than plowing through it. Note: this setting is harsh and will not provide a soft, plush ride on the trail.
