Battery Removal

  1. Ensure the key switch is set to OFF position before removing the battery.

  2. Remove the driver’s seat (XP) or the left rear passenger seat (XP 4). See the Seats section for details.

  3. Disconnect the black (negative) battery cable first.

  4. Disconnect the red (positive) battery cable last.

  5. Remove the battery hold-down strap.

  6. Lift the battery out of the vehicle.
