Driving Downhill
When driving downhill, follow these precautions:
-
Avoid steep hills (15° maximum).
-
Shift body weight uphill. Transfer your weight to the rear of the vehicle.
-
Drive straight downhill.
-
Slow down. Excessive speed when traveling downhill can cause loss of control.
-
Apply the front and rear brakes at the same time, and very slightly, to aid in slowing.
