Headlight Aim Inspection

Verify that the tire pressures are at specification.

Verify that rear suspension ride height (preload) is at specification.

Position the motorcycle on a level surface with the headlight 32 ft 10 in (10.0 m) from a wall.

With the operator and passenger (if applicable) on board, bring the motorcycle to the fully upright position.
Horizontal Adjustment:

Start the engine and switch the headlight to high beam. Observe the headlight aim on the wall.

Make any necessary adjustments to center the brightest portion of the high beam straight ahead.
Vertical Adjustment:

Switch the headlight to low beam. Observe the headlight aim on the wall.

Make any necessary adjustments to headlight aim per the diagram table.
