Air Filter

NOTICE

If the motorcycle is operated in wet or dusty conditions, more frequent servicing is required.

Replace the air filter if it becomes contaminated with oil.

The air filter element cannot be cleaned. Replace the filter when necessary.

  1. Remove Fuel Tank. See Fuel Tank Removal.

  2. Remove the zip-ties from harness retention as well as the the brake line retention clips. Remove the wiring harness 1 and the brake lines 2 from airbox filter cover retention features.

  3. Remove the airbox filter cover fasteners 3 and remove from the unit.

  4. Installation of new filter is performed by reversing the removal procedure.

    TORQUE

    Airbox Filter Cover Fastener:

    84 in-lbs (10 N·m)
