Vehicle Control System
The vehicle control system on your vehicle helps to limit excessive operational temperatures of the vehicle brake system. If the brake and throttle system are operated at the same time and either of the following conditions are triggered, check the brake system to ensure that there are no obstructions that would prevent the lever from moving freely and returning to its disengaged position. The three step warning and performance reduction sequence will engage when the following conditions are met:
Step One–
-
The engine speed is above 4500 RPM
-
The brake is engaged
-
The throttle is engaged
After 3 consecutive seconds a warning message will appear on the gauge. The message will remain on the gauge for 5 seconds after the above conditions are no longer met or the rider acknowledges on the screen.
Step Two–
-
The engine speed is above 4500 RPM
-
The brake is engaged
-
The throttle is engaged
After 5 consecutive seconds, the power output from the engine will be decreased. A warning message will also appear on your display. After the above conditions are no longer met the message on the gauge will be removed and full power output will be returned to the engine.
Step Three–
-
The engine speed is above 2500 RPM
-
The brake is engaged
-
The throttle is engaged
After 15 consecutive seconds, the vehicle will shut down. If shutdown occurs, check the brake system to ensure the temporary brake lock is not engaged.
