Polaris Drive Mode Control Switch

The Polaris Drive Mode Control Switch has three positions:

Mode Description
Comfort (COMF) Minimizes engine speed for increased fuel economy and reduced noise, with some reduction in throttle response.
Standard (STND) Balances engine speed and throttle response. Allows reduced engine speed when cruising at low to moderate speeds, but allows sportier throttle response when needed.
Sport (SPRT) Allows maximum engine speed and throttle response for highest performance.
Always use low gear for any of the following conditions regardless of the selected drive mode control setting:
  • Operating in rough terrain or over obstacles.

  • Loading the vehicle onto a trailer.

  • Towing heavy loads.

  • Driving frequently at low RPM or at ground speeds below 7 MPH (11 km/h).
