NUMATIX Controlled CVT Filter

The onboard air filter is located behind the left rear wheel splash shield. This filter will be replaced at the same time as the engine air filter. To replace the filter, do the following:

  1. Remove two snap rivets 1 from the splash shield 2.

  2. Push the splash shield 2 upwards to disengage the upper and side alignment tabs.

  3. Cut the zip tie 3 securing the air filter to the vehicle chassis. Remove the pinch clamps 4 securing the top on the bottom hoses to the filter. Remove filter from the chassis.

    NOTICE
    Some panels have been removed for clarity.

  4. Remove the rubber sleeve 5 from the filter 6.

To install the air filter, do the following:

  1. Install the rubber sleeve 5 onto the filter 6.

  2. Insert a new zip tie through the existing chassis fastener.

  3. Install filter onto the chassis, threading the zip tie through the rubber sleeve pockets. Close the zip tie.

    NOTICE
    The arrow on the rubber sleeve and filter should be pointed towards the ground.

  4. Install the upper and lower air hoses with pinch clamps. Make sure that each hose is seated against the filter before installing the pinch clamp.

  5. Reinstall the splash shield.
