Adding Engine Oil

NOTICE
Failure to use the recommended 4-stroke engine oil may result in engine damage.
CAPACITY

Polaris 5W-30 Generator Oil

19.6 floz (0.58 l)

  1. Place generator on flat, level surface. Remove the maintenance cover.

  2. Remove the oil filler cap / dipstick.

  3. Fill the engine crankcase with the specified amount.

  1. Insert the dipstick into the filler neck, without screwing it in.

  2. Remove the dipstick and verify that the oil level is at the upper limit. Add additional oil and inspect the level as needed until the upper limit has been reached.

  3. Re-install the dipstick. Use a clean shop rag to clean any spilled oil.

  4. Re-install the maintenance cover.
