Removal from Storage

NOTICE
If the cylinder was coated with oil during storage preparation, the engine may smoke briefly at startup. This is normal.

  1. Re-install battery. See Battery Installation.

  2. Perform Pre-Operation Inspection on Pre-Operation Inspection.

  3. If fuel was drained during storage preparation, fill tank with fresh gasoline. See Refueling. If gasoline is stored in a container, ensure the gasoline is fresh. Gasoline oxidizes and deteriorates over time, causing hard starting.
