Brake Lever Travel

Squeeze the brake lever. It should move no closer to the handgrip than 1/2 in (1.3 cm) 1 after max lever adjustment. A smaller distance indicates low brake fluid level or air in the hydraulic system. Your dealer can assist.

Make sure the brake lever is clear of any obstructions, including items that are mounted to the handle bars, such as the throttle block, kill switch, handguard or gauntlets.

WARNING
Ice, snow and other debris may interfere with the brake lever, causing unknown brake pressure when riding. This can lead to brake failure. Keep the brake lever free of snow, ice, and other debris.
