Rear Drive Belt

TIP
The drive belt system must be cool, clean and dry to accurately measure belt tension (deflection). Do not measure belt tension when the belt or drive system is wet or when it is hot (such as immediately after riding).
  1. Check drive belt tension. See Drive Belt Adjustment.
  2. Check the drive belt for debris.

  3. Inspect drive belt condition. See Rear Drive Belt Condition. If you discover cracks, broken teeth or frayed edges, replace the drive belt before riding. See the INDIAN MOTORCYCLE Service Manual or an authorized INDIAN MOTORCYCLE dealer can assist.
