Oil Level Check
Check the oil level when the engine is cold. Never check the oil with the engine running or damage to the dipstick and / or engine could occur.
-
Position the vehicle on a level surface and put the transmission in PARK (P). Stop the engine and lock the temporary brake lock.
-
Remove the engine access panel 1 on the right side of the vehicle.

-
Clean the area around the dipstick.
-
Remove the dipstick by twisting it counter-clockwise until it can be pulled out. Wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
-
Install the dipstick and tighten it all of the way to ensure an accurate measurement.
-
Remove the dipstick and check the oil level.
The oil level should be within the safe range (between the FULL and ADD marks) on the dipstick.

-
Use a funnel to slowly add the recommended oil as needed. Do not overfill.
-
Reinstall the dipstick and the engine access panel.
TIPA rising oil level between checks in cool weather driving may indicate contaminants, such as gas or moisture, collecting in the engine crankcase. If the oil level is over the FULL mark, change the oil immediately.
