Halogen Pod Headlight Replacement
(If Equipped)

CAUTION
Hot components can cause burns to the skin. Allow all the components to cool before you proceed.
IMPORTANT
Do not touch the halogen lamp with your bare fingers. Oil from your skin leaves a residue, causing a hot spot that will shorten the life of the lamp. If your bare fingers do touch the lamp, clean it with alcohol.

  1. Remove the four headlight pod screws 1 and remove the front half of the pod from the vehicle.

  2. Disconnect the main wiring harness 2 from the back of the headlight housing.

    IMPORTANT
    Be sure to pull on the connector and not the wiring.

  3. Turn the lamp socket counter-clockwise to remove it from the headlight housing.

    NOTICE
    Headlight housing was removed for image clarity. You do not need to remove the headlight housing to replace the bulb.

  4. Apply dielectric grease to the socket and install a new lamp. Turn the lamp socket clockwise to secure the lamp into place.

  5. Connect the main wiring harness to the back of the headlight housing.

  6. Reassemble the pod. Torque screws to specification.

    TORQUE

    Headlight Pod Screws:

    10 in-lbs (1 N·m)

  7. Adjust the headlight if needed.
