Stopping the Engine
(Manual Transmission)
Bring the vehicle to a complete stop before stopping the engine.
WARNING
Stopping the engine with the transmission in
gear while the vehicle is moving could cause loss of rear wheel traction
or engine and transmission damage, which could cause loss of control
and serious injury or death. Always stop the engine after the vehicle
is fully stopped and the transmission is in neutral (or clutch is
disengaged). If the engine stops unexpectedly while the vehicle is
moving, depress the clutch and guide the vehicle to a safe location
off the road and away from traffic.
IMPORTANT
To perform an emergency engine stop while the
vehicle is in motion, hold the engine start/stop button for 4 seconds.

Brake to a complete stop. When nearly stopped, disengage the clutch.
NOTICEAs the vehicle slows, disengage the clutch, or downshift each time vehicle speed reaches a downshift point. -
When fully stopped, engage the park brake.

Press the Engine Start/Stop button.
