Coolant Level Inspection

CAUTION
Allow the vehicle to cool before performing any maintenance on the cooling system. Failure to do so could result in burns to skin.

Check the coolant level when the bike is held upright on a level surface, not on sidestand. The bike should be cold and off for at least 4 hours before checking the coolant level. Remove the recovery bottle dipstick 1 and wipe it with a clean cloth. Fully install the dipstick until it touches off on the coolant bottle to ensure an accurate measurement. Remove the dipstick and check the coolant level. The coolant level should be between the ADD and FULL COLD marks on the dipstick.

NOTICE
The recovery bottle is vented to prevent overfilling. Coolant will vent onto the ground if overfilled.

If the coolant level is low, add fluid until the level is within the ADD and FULL COLD marks. Do not fill past the FULL COLD mark.
