Brake Pedal Adjustment

  1. Loosen the jam nut 1 on the rear master cylinder push rod.

  2. Rotate the push rod to adjust the pedal height up or down.

  3. Once adjusted, verify that you have at least 6 mm of thread engagement between the push rod and the clevis.

  4. Torque the brake pedal jam nut to specification.

    TORQUE

    Brake Pedal Jam Nut:

    80 in-lbs (9 N·m)

    WARNING
    After pad installation or any brake system repair, safely elevate the wheel, apply and release the brake pedal or lever 2-3 times and release. Verify the wheel turns freely without drag. If brake drag is evident, do not operate the motorcycle. Inspect the vehicle to determine the cause and then repair as necessary.
