Battery Removal

  1. Remove the passenger seat.

  2. Remove the driver seat.

  3. Remove the rear tank trim screws 1.

  4. Remove the battery box cover screw 2.

  5. Disconnect the accessory wire harness 3 from the retainer 4 or, if equipped with an accessory, disconnect the accessory wire harness from the accessory.

    NOTICE

    The rear tank trim and the cargo rack are transparent in this graphic to improve clarity.

  6. Remove the battery box cover 5 from the vehicle.

  7. Disconnect the black (negative) battery cable.

  8. Disconnect the red (positive) battery cable.

  9. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
